Marketing & Branding Specialist

We are looking to employ a confident, hard-working and efficient person to join our MIT team to coordinate our marketing activities in Johannesburg. MIT supplies production line equipment such as industrial continuous ink jet printers, label applicators etc. for batch & date coding onto FMCG goods.

Qualification: Grade 12 + a marketing qualification
5+ years relevant experience
Highly organised and very strong admin skills
Meticulous and pays exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Writing, editing and proofreading skills
Ability to travel when required
Team player who works collaboratively and effectively with others
Good interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with management, team members and customers where applicable
Excellent English language skills – both spoken & written
Familiarity with content management systems and relevant software
Understanding of industry best practices
Strong ability to manage deadlines

The primary tasks include:

Planning promotional marketing campaigns
Creating editorial and content creation for various media platforms
Designing, negotiation and placement of traditional media ads, social media ads and email blasts
Conducting market research to determine a target audience’s needs, wants, habits, interests and other relevant factors used in creating targeted marketing campaigns
Reviewing the progress and success of a campaign, making adjustments or pitching ideas for new campaigns as necessary
Assist with lead generation for sales team
Adhere to marketing budget
Maintain Social media accounts
Compile newsletters (internal & external)
Prepare and attend trade shows
Update Website content
Organise roadshows
Design marketing material (flyers, brochures etc)
