Description
Role Purpose:
The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, strategic direction, and financial performance of the container rental division. This includes managing staff, optimizing customer service, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving business growth. The manager will work closely with Boland Rental head office to align divisional goals with overall group strategy.
Skills required
Strong operational and logistics management skills.
Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Financial awareness (budgeting, cost control, invoicing).
Sales and negotiation ability to grow the rental portfolio.
Computer literacy (MS Office, CRM/inventory systems).
Time management and problem-solving under pressure.
Responsibilities
Oversee container rental operations, including deliveries, collections, maintenance, and scheduling.
Lead and manage a small operational and administrative team.
Build strong client relationships and drive new business development.
Monitor profitability, control expenses, and manage divisional budgets.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, rental agreements, and company policies.
Report on performance, risks, and growth opportunities to the General Manager.
