Description
We are seeking a Durban based talented and experienced Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of all major social media platforms and a proven track record of driving brand social growth through strategic and engaging social media campaigns.
Skills required
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or relevant field. Alternatively, an IMM diploma.
Social Media Marketing Course.
Proven experience in the nutritional supplementation industry or related health and wellness sectors.
Professional certifications in social media marketing or digital marketing.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role, with a track record of successfully driving social growth for brands.
• In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of all major social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms to track performance and obtain actionable insights.
• Exceptional creativity and an eye for detail, with the ability to develop engaging and visually appealing social media content.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey the brand’s voice and messaging through social channels.
• Experience in META and Google ad spend to drive new audiences and sales targets.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement innovative social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation across multiple social platforms.
• Create, curate, and manage compelling and visually appealing content that aligns with the brand identity and resonates with our target audience.
• Monitor social media trends, technologies, and tools to ensure the company stays ahead of the curve in social media marketing.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate social media strategies with overall marketing goals and campaigns.
• Analyze social media performance metrics and insights to optimize content and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with influencers, brand ambassadors and local companies.
• Report to the Marketing Director of well i am, and work seamlessly with the marketing team.
