Description
The Laser Transport Group is recruiting an External Sales Executive to market and sell the company's transportation and storage services. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting surveys at client premises in order to determine the volume of the move and to address any other requests the client may have
- Present accurate sales presentation/solution to client
- Provide accurate quotations
- Book moves with clients and the operations and/or shipping department
- Complete all necessary administration and documentation to ensure a successful move
- Assist the client with custom regulations and insurance if required
- Follow-up regularly and keep clients informed and assured at all times
- Make courtesy calls to clients
- Produce weekly and monthly sales reports
- Be neat and presentable in appearance
Skills required
Have a valid Code B driver’s license (and willing to travel by car extensively)
Fluent in English and Afrikaans (verbal and written)
Good local and international geographical knowledge
Able to conduct accurate volume measuring assessments
Team player and have the ability to work independently
Computer literate (Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
Excellent costing skills

Knowledge of our domestic and international removal systems
Excellent communication and organisational skills

Educate clients with accurate information regarding transportation, packing, crating, insurance, shipping, customs clearance, and destination services
Collaborate with Internal Sales Support Executives
Maintain good relations with all parties involved in moves
Follow-up regularly on the status of the moves as well as clients
Respond to any queries timeously
