Operations Assistant

The Laser Transport Group is recruiting an Operations Assistant to ensure that the company’s transport and storage service delivery is optimized through managing all available resources effectively. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Schedule client jobs with sales representatives
• Update the booking schedule on the operations board
• Capture client details
• Allocate jobs to crew daily
• Brief and debrief crew before and after each job
• Plan routes
• Liaise with client regarding the status of the move
• Update wage working hours on the input sheet
• Control the receipt and issuing of packing materials
• Control the offloading process of vehicles
• Control fuel allocation and reconcile fuel sheets
• Ensure that the warehouse is neat and a safe working environment

Fluent in English and Afrikaans (verbal and written)
Good local and international geographical knowledge
Team player and have the ability to work independently
Computer literate (Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
Excellent problem-solving skills
Knowledge of our domestic and international removal systems
Excellent communication and organisational skills
